Grand Prix racing – the drivers

Aston Martin Red Bull racing driver in car

Max Verstappen knows that Mobil 1™ lubricants help to reduce friction and wear in all the moving parts of his car. What does this mean to him? As Max takes on the current Formula One® season, it means more confidence in his car, extra power in his hands, increased engine reliability on the track and more chances to find the podium.

Max Verstappen joined Aston Martin Red Bull Racing in 2016 after a ballistic ascent through the ranks of motorsports. From the first time he drove a kart at the tender age of four-and-a-half, Max learned his trade well and, in his early teens, enjoyed a stellar career in regional and international karting, frequently punching well above his weight against more experienced rivals.

In his first eight races with Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, he achieved six top-five finishes, including four podiums. He is the youngest driver to lead a lap during a Formula One Grand Prix, the youngest driver to set the fastest lap during a Formula One Grand Prix and the youngest driver to win a Formula One Grand Prix. In 2017, although Max endured a challenging start to the season, he still found the podium four times, winning in Malaysia and Mexico.
