Max Verstappen joined Red Bull Racing in 2016 after a ballistic ascent through the ranks of motorsports. From the first time he drove a kart at the tender age of four-and-a-half, Max learned his trade well and, in his early teens, enjoyed a stellar career in regional and international karting, frequently punching well above his weight against more experienced rivals.

In his first eight races with Red Bull Racing, he achieved six top-five finishes, including four podiums. He is the youngest driver to lead a lap during a Formula One® Grand Prix, the youngest driver to set the fastest lap during a Formula One® Grand Prix and the youngest driver to win a Formula One® Grand Prix.
