Mobil 1 ESP advanced full synthetic motor oils are designed to help prolong the life and maintain the efficiency of emission systems in both diesel- and gasoline-powered vehicles. They are designed to help deliver outstanding performance and protection in conjunction with potential fuel economy benefits.

Mobil 1 ESP oils are formulated to be fully compatible with passenger cars that have the latest diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and or those with gasoline catalytic converters (CATs).

Of the product lineup, Mobil 1™ ESP X2 0W-20 motor oil is our latest technology combining durability and protection with a low viscosity, low friction motor oil. It was designed in cooperation with key European original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to help prolong the life and maintain the efficiency of emission systems in new, emerging diesel- and gasoline-powered European vehicles that require SAE 0W-20 viscosity grades.

Of the product lineup, Mobil 1™ ESP 0W-30 and Mobil 1™ ESP 5W-30 oils meet or exceed the requirements of many leading industry and car manufacturers’ standards required for newer modern diesel- and gasoline-powered passenger car engines. They are especially suitable for extreme conditions where conventional oil often may not perform.

Of the product lineup, Mobil 1™ ESP Formula 0W-40 is the first and only dexos2™-approved motor oil developed specifically for Chevrolet Corvettes. Although Mobil 1™ 5W-30 motor oil is still recommended for many generations of Corvette, ExxonMobil recommends upgrading to Mobil 1 ESP Formula 0W-40 to help reduce oil consumption and provide maximum performance. The majority of GM/Opel/Vauxhall/Chevrolet Diesel and Gasoline vehicles can use dexos2™ lubricants as GM/Opel has advised that the dexos2™ specification is backward compatible to older GM/Opel specifications (GM-LL-A-025 and GM-LL-B-025).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Honda DTIS Civic I drive a 2014 Honda DTIS Civic diesel, fitted with an exhaust particulate filter. I arrived at the Honda dealer for the first service with a supply of Mobil 1 5W30 ESP, being the recommended oil from the Mobil 1 range. I chose Mobil 1 for two reasons, Mobil product has high quality assurance standards, I was personally involved in ensuring product quality with Mobil Exxon in Australia. The 1.6 litre Honda turbocharged engine produces a remarkable amount of torque and is incredibly fuel efficient. Confidently, I can choose Mobil 1 to preserve the efficency and reliablity of this motor, as do leading car manufacturers in recommending Mobil 1

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good cold weather start up Recommended by Subaru Mechanic for the WRX 2.0 direct injected tubro charged motors. With So many new car manufactures going to direct injection technology, it is a mystery to me why Mobil is ignoring this growing segment...........No one wishes the expense, and issues that go with carbon buildup on the backs of the valves of these engines. Mobil is in a great position to beat the manufactures at their own game, as they do not seem to be concerned with carbon build up as it is causing issues mostly beyond there warranty periods. Mobil could really clean up, if they would address this and advertise this positive aspect of this formulation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mercedes Benz diesel recommended My Mercedes Benz Sprinter (Winnebago ERA motorhome) has a diesel engine and Mobil 1 ESP X1 0w-30 is one of the few motor oils they recommend that allow for slightly extended change intervals. However, I had to order it from a local auto parts store and it is only available in 1 quart bottles. My vehicle requires over 14 quarts. It would certainly make life easier, and probably cheaper, if I could get it in 5 quart jugs.
